The Brand
Founded in 2022, Morienta is a design studio that explores the dialogue between Chinese heritage and modern living through 3D printing. With a focus on cultural depth and contemporary form, Morienta creates sustainable, collectable objects designed to bring quiet meaning into any space.
Guided by the flowing elegance of silk—one of China’s most iconic materials—our first explorations translated the fabric’s fluid lines into sculptural homeware.
Today, our collections carry the same philosophy: objects that are poetic yet functional, rooted in tradition yet open to reinterpretation.
The Founders
Morienta was co-founded by Nanxi Mo, an animator and designer graduated from Central Saint Martins in London, and Arden Bai, an engineer specializing in advanced 3D printing technologies.
Nanxi brings a background in visual storytelling and aesthetics, drawing from years of transforming emotions into moving images and experimental design. Arden contributes a technical foundation, with expertise in systems, materials, and digital fabrication.
Together, they fuse artistry and engineering into a design language that reimagines tradition through innovation.
Digital Craftsmanship
At Morienta, every object begins with a spark of inspiration—an abstract sketch, a cultural symbol, a natural gesture. That vision is then transformed into a digital model and carefully optimized before being translated into 3D-printed form.
Layer by layer, the object emerges through a low-waste process, allowing for slow, intentional making. Each piece is printed, refined, and finished in-house, ensuring quality and authenticity at every stage.
Sustainable Materials
We are committed to conscious design. Our pieces are produced using bio-based, renewable materials—primarily derived from natural starches—and we continue to research more sustainable alternatives. 3D printing allows us to minimize excess material, reduce waste, and explore production with precision and responsibility.
